Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Brambly (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and
shares information when you use the Brambly iOS app and related services (the “Service”).
1) Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account & profile data: account credentials and profile information you provide (e.g., username and avatar).
- Messages & chat content: text messages, media you share in chats, and information included in your communications with other users.
- Photos & media: when you select photos for sharing in chat and when you save images to your Photo Library.
- Voice messages: voice recordings that you create to send in chats.
- Community presence: online status (“presence”) for community members, including timestamps used to show whether a member is currently online.
- Moderation & reports: reports you submit (e.g., reason, details, and references to the content being reported).
- Technical & security data: request metadata and server logs (such as device/network information, timestamps, and error logs) used to operate and secure the Service.
2) How we use your information
- Provide the Service (authentication, chat, communities, and related features).
- Support presence/online status in communities.
- Process media (images, photo picks, saving images to your Photo Library) and deliver user-generated content.
- Enable moderation workflows (including reports and enforcement actions where applicable).
- Protect the Service and users (security, abuse prevention, and fraud detection).
3) Do we use third-party analytics?
We do not currently integrate third-party analytics SDKs.
If we add third-party analytics or other tracking in the future, we will update this policy.
4) Presence data (online status)
To show community members as online, we store presence information in Redis with a short time-to-live (TTL).
Presence includes member identifiers and metadata used for display purposes, and expires automatically.
5) How long we keep data
- Presence: expires automatically shortly after the last activity (e.g., a short TTL).
- Account deletion: when you delete your account, some data may be retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention reasons.
- Moderation data: reports and related references may be retained to investigate and enforce policies.
6) Sharing of information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting/infrastructure).
We do not sell your personal information.
7) Your rights and choices
- Access and update: you can update profile information you provide.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from within the app.
- Questions: if you have privacy-related questions, contact the developer using the contact details provided in the App Store listing.
8) Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where prohibited by law.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page
indicates when the policy was last revised.
